The name
Emet is Hebrew for truth. It is spelled with the first, middle and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet: truth covers everything, from beginning to end.
In the Prague legend, Rabbi Loew brings the Golem, an artificial being made of clay, to life by writing “emet” on its forehead. Erase the first letter and what remains is “met”: dead.
